Erik Peper, Ph.D.

|About|||||Erik Peper is an internationally known expert on holistic health, stress management, and biofeedback. He is a professor at San Francisco State University, where he was instrumental in establishing the Institute for Holistic Health Studies, the first holistic health program at a public university in the U.S. He is president of the Biofeedback Federation of Europe (BFE), former president of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology (AAPB), and has a biofeedback practice in Berkeley, CA at BiofeedbackHealth. He is an author of numerous scientific articles and books such as Make Health Happen, Fighting Cancer-A Nontoxic Approach to Treatment, and Biofeedback Mastery. He publishes the blog, the peper perspective-ideas on illness, health and well-being (www.peperperspective.com). His research interests focus on self-healing strategies to optimize health, illness prevention, optimizing respiration and posture, and self-mastery with biofeedback.|
Dr. Victor David Arroyo Guillén
|About|||||Dr. David Arroyo Psy.Npf, BCB. is a visiting professor, guest speaker and lecturer with extensive professional and teaching experience both in Mexico and internationally in the fields of Clinical, Medical and Health Psychology, as well as in Applied Psychophysiology. He is one of the founders of the Mexican Society of Bio and Neurofeedback and served as part of its board of directors for almost 10 years. For 9 years he was in charge of the Medical Psychology Service in StarMedica Centro Hospital in Mexico, where he established the first in-hospital applied psychophysiology service of its kind in his country, applying it to the management of different psychological and medical disorders in a comprehensive and interdisciplinary manner. He also was appointed president of the medical bioethics committee in that institution for two consecutive periods. Currently he is CEO of the Mindful Neuroscience Center with clinical and teaching centers in Monterrey (Mexico) and Mexico City, part of the team of instructors of the BFE’s “Learn From The Best” program and instructor-mentor of BCIA’s certification programs in Biofeedback.|
Carlotta Bonfà, MS, PsyD
|About|||||Carlotta Bonfà is a Clinical Psychologist and a Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapist. She works as a private practitioner in Padua, Italy. Carlotta is the Education Coordinator for the Biofeedback Federation of Europe (BFE) in Italy and has been a member of the program committee for the Italian language track at the last BFE Meeting in Rome. She has also organized regional seminars and workshops in biofeedback.|
Annette Booiman, PT
|About|||||Annette Booiman works as a Mensendieck Somato Cognitive Therapist in her private clinic in the Netherlands, where she combines Mensendieck Therapy and Biofeedback. Her main goal is to mobilize people to participate in a healthy lifestyle by changing their posture, movement patterns and stress level. Exercises, mirrors and biofeedback are the tools for implementing the new habits. Annette is BCB certified by the BCIA, she has presented at former AAPB and BFE meetings and is author of several articles about biofeedback and lifestyle.|
Dr. Richard Harvey
|About|||||Richard Harvey, PhD is a faculty member of the Department of Health Education and Holistic Health at San Francisco State University. Before joining the faculty at San Francisco State University, prior experience included working as an Epidemiologist in Orange County, California; as a University of California, Irvine Tobacco-Use Research Center Fellow; and, as a University of California, Irvine Counseling Center Biofeedback and Stress Management Program Director. Research interests currently include developing holistic stress-reduction interventions that promote personal courage using biofeedback, and have included federally funded research related to tobacco use and cessation. Professional association experience includes serving on the Board of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB) as the Treasurer and as President as well as on the Board of the Western Association of Biofeedback and Neuroscience — formerly the Biofeedback Society of California– in many roles including President. Professional association presentations, workshops and invited keynote addresses have covered themes linking biofeedback with other areas such as psychoneuroimmunology, ergonomics, resiliency and, stress profiling.|
Inna Khazan, Ph.D.
|About|||||Inna Khazan, Ph.D., BCB is a clinical psychologist, and faculty at Harvard Medical School. She maintains a private practice in Boston, working with clients on optimizing their health and performance. Dr. Khazan is recognized as a pioneer in the area of mindfulness and acceptance based biofeedback, and is the author of Clinical Handbook of Biofeedback: A Step-by-Step Guide to Training and Practice with Mindfulness.|
I-Mei Lin, Ph.D.
|About|||||I-Mei Lin, Ph.D., BCB is a clinical psychologist and an associate professor (Department of Psychology) at Kaohsiung Medical University in Taiwan. She is president of the Taiwan Association of Biofeedback and Neurofeedback (TABN).|
Drs. Daniëlle M. Matto
|About|||||Danielle Matto is a clinical psychologist and BCIA certified biofeedback therapist (BCB-HRV). In her private practice she combines biofeedback, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, stress management and Audio Visual Stimulation. She treats patients with depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, stress, burnout, headache, neck-shoulder pain, Irritable Bowel syndrome and hypertension. In addition to her clinical work she is a teacher and mentor (www.biofeedbackworkshops.eu). Drs. Matto has been actively involved in the Biofeedback Federation of Europe from its founding in 1995 till 2012. She remains a member of the BFE advisory board.|
